How does one catergorize celebrities into a-list, b-list, etc?

how do you decide who is c-list, b-list or z-list?!

How does one catergorize celebrities into a-list, b-list, etc?
If I would guess I would say by how much they get paid for each movie.
Reply:I think it's a combination of public exposure, money made by their films (and how much they receive) and just simple popularity with the public.

Those A-listers of today will one day drop down to B, or even C, and new ones will move up the list. Just the way it works.

Interesting question, by the way.
Reply:heres an easy solution.....

google their name, if more than 1,000,000 listiongs come up, they are A list!
Reply:I always thought it was like this: A-list are people with real talent, like actors and singers and the rest are wannabes, so-called celebrities, reality show stars etc. Basically, B-list and rest are nobodies who thinks they're somebodies.
Reply:how famous they are for there achievemets and just how popular they are
Reply:Probably on the ammount of media coverage they get... how often they are in the papers and on the television. For example has anyone noticed how often Danielle (Celebrity BB) is on the front of the Daily Star newspaper? Its like everyday she stares up at me when I go to buy one.
