then select view details, and click the size bar.
Reply:As you are well aware by now, listing your C: drive by file size does not show you anything about the folders or what is in them. With Windows you can get a handle on the bigger files on your drive however.

Pull up your C: drive in Windows Explorer and click on the search button and then Files and Folders. You can leave the file name blank and just go to the Size option and then Specify Size where you can limit your search to all files over a given size.

As an example, if you specify "at least" and plug in 5000 as the size, you will get a list of all files over 5 meg. Make sure that "search subfolders" is checked in the advanced options menu.

Then do a second pass with 3000 as the size, or whatever limit you wish to set.. You will be suprized at what you find.
Reply:First use double killer to find duplicate files...

Then uninstall those progs you NEVER use..

Delete all temporary files (use disk cleanup on drive properties in Windoze)...

Now start hunting on a directory basis - leaving your OS directories alone!

And if you REALLY get desperate... Compress your drive to buy you some time
Reply:There is a program known as WinDirStat(http://windirstat.info/)

which displays all the files on your computer as colored blocks, u merely pick the largest blocks, which are the largest files.
Reply:The biggest files you certainly will not want to delete like pagefile.sys. Only delete files that you know about.
Reply:Dear Friend

It's very easy to see which file is using how much space in your drives. Simply open your C drive and press 'Ctrl+F' and in file name give '*.*'. after it finished searching enable your list view by selecting view type in the tab below main menu. Now click on size. and all your file will sort as per size. You can now copy the files to some other drive. But dear don't try to move Windows system files and Programms that you have installed in 'C:/program files/ ' if you will do this the window will not work properly or the specific program will stop functioning. You can only move your documents, music, video and other files that you have saved or made.

Thank YOu
