Finding soft violin music is hard. Soft piano is easy. However, this recording is rare, but if you can find it, it is beautiful: The Swan by Camille Saint-Saens. Look into songs by Fritz Kriesler. There is a song called Sicilliene that I once played by him, as well as a song by Melodie. I know Kriesler's work is readily availiable on CDNOW. Even though this is not a violin piece, I'd recommend looking for The Warsaw Concerto by Addinsell. Strong entrance, beautiful solo, great orchestration
