Can you list these form least volume to greatest volume?

List these space figures in order from the one with least volume to the one with greatest volume.

A. cube with an edge of 5cm.

B. cylinder with radius 4cm. and height 4cm.

C. square pyramid with base sides of 6cm. and height 6cm.

D. cone with radius 4cm. and height 9cm.

E. rectangular prism with a 5cm.-by-5cm. base and height 6cm.

Please show all the work to prove the answer is right.

Can you list these form least volume to greatest volume?
A

cube volume = 5 cubed

= 125 cm cubed

B

cylinder volume = pi * 4 squared * 4

= 201 (nearest whole number)

C

square pyramid = 1/3 * 6 * 6 * 6

= 72

D

cone = 1/3 * pi * 4 squared * 9

= 151 (nearest whole no)

E

rectangular prism = 5 * 5 * 6

= 150

the order from least volume to greatest volume is ...

C , A , E , D , B
Reply:C %26lt; A %26lt;D %26lt; E %26lt; B as shown below :

C = 1/3 area of base*ht = 0.33*6^2*6 cc

= 71.28 cc

A = (side 5cm)^3 = 125 cc

D = 1/3 pie r^2 h = 0.33*3.141*4^2*9 cc

= 149.76 cc

E = l*b*h = 5cm*5cm*6cm = 150 cc

B = pie r^2 h = 3.141*4^2*4 cc = 201.02 cc
