I am wondering what the sentence is for a Class C Felony in the state of arkansas. I have found several sites stating what crimes are class c, but none list what the "punishment" or time served could be.

Whats the general sentence for a class c felony in Arkansas?
You should try looking it up in the Arkansas state statutes online. Curious-What'd you do?
Reply:It could be as long as 10 years. The Courts weigh every factor of the offense - such as where did he get the checks? whose were they? how did he come to have them? why did he do it? what were the checks used for? what was the total amount of the checks? (It had to be over $2500.00 for it to be a felony).

When he gets to Prison, he can cut his sentence in half by being on his best behavior. Inmates who do not cause problems earn one day Good Time for each day they serve. He should be polite and respectful, keep a low profile, and do his job assignment to the best of his ability with no complaints.
Reply:The sentence for a class C felony in Arkansas is 3 to 10 years, so he is exposed to up to that amount of time for each charge. As a first offender he is almost guaranteed to receive probation, unless it is a sex offense or he has really made someone in power mad. If he does get prison time, I'd bet it will be 36 months or less.
Reply:If it was a felony then jail time is the most likely scenario!

I would recomend getting a defensive attorney as soon as possible for your friend. As an attorney will be able to knock of multiple charges or may reduce charges that will help your friend.

Just note that there a possible loop holes that an aggressive attorney might be able to uncover that may help your friend.

Most all attorneys give free consultation appointments which will give a general assessment of the case.

You could also tell your friend to post a question on Lawguru.com as attorneys regularly answer them.

Hope this helps!
